Import/Create Wallet Address
Step 1: Access the Hydra Wallet There are two main options:
Import now: Restore your account using an existing mnemonic phrase.
Create new account: Create a completely new account.
For both options, all Mnemonic Seed Phrase characters exist only on the client side and are never stored on our servers. This non-custodial approach is guaranteed by the open-source nature of the project.
Option 1: Restore Account Using Mnemonic Seed Phrase (if you already have one)
After selecting “You have mnemonic? Import now” on the welcome screen, you will be directed to the wallet recovery interface as shown below.
📝 Required Information Fields:
Mnemonic Seed Phrase
This is a set of 24 English words given when you first created your wallet.
You must enter them in the correct order, separated by spaces, with no capital letters.
Password
This is the password you set when creating the wallet.
If you are restoring on a new device, you must enter it correctly to access the wallet interface.
If you forgot the password, you can still restore the wallet, but may need to reset it (depending on future Hydra updates).
🔐 Important Security Notes:
The seed phrase is the only key to your wallet. If you lose it, you will lose access permanently.
DO NOT share your seed phrase with anyone, even if they claim to be “support staff.”
DO NOT take screenshots, store it in email, Google Drive, or note-taking apps.
It is strongly recommended to write it down by hand and store it in a physically secure location.
✅ After Entering All Information:
Click the “Continue” button to proceed with recovery. If the seed phrase is valid, the wallet will automatically reload your addresses and assets on the testnet/mainnet.
Option 2: Create a New Account on Hydra Wallet
After selecting “Create new account” from the welcome screen, you will be directed to the new wallet creation interface as shown below.
📌 Displayed Components:
Wallet Address The first line shows an address starting with
addr_test1...This is the current default address on the testnet (used for testing purposes). After successful creation, you can receive tokens to this address.
Mnemonic Seed Phrase (24 words) The wallet will generate a 24-word recovery phrase — this is the only key to restore your wallet in the future. This phrase is shown only once.
🔐 If you don’t back it up, you won’t be able to recover your wallet if you lose your device.
📎 How to Store Securely:
Write it down on paper and keep it in a dry, private location.
Never take a photo of it or store it on your phone, email, or cloud drives.
Create Password This is a local password used to:
Confirm transactions (e.g., sending funds)
Unlock certain sensitive actions
Requirements:
Minimum of 12 characters
Must include uppercase, lowercase, numbers, and special characters

Write down the seed phrase
Set up your password
Click “Create” to complete the creation of your new wallet.
